International Day 2026

Manalapan High School transformed its cafeteria into a global village today, celebrating the vibrant tapestry of backgrounds that make up our student body. International Day served as a powerful reminder that while we all walk the same halls, we carry with us a world of diverse stories, traditions, and flavors.

Students and their families prepared authentic dishes, ranging from the spicy kick of homemade empanadas to the decadent flavors of cannolis. Beyond the plates, the event highlighted the customs and artistry that define different heritage groups. The school was awash in color as students proudly wore traditional garments, tried their hand at games like mahjong, or had henna done on their hands.

The sound of various musical traditions filled the air, with students performing dances and playing instruments that have been passed down through generations. Celebrating the various cultures found within the school helps strengthen the bonds of the school community, fostering an environment of curiosity, empathy, and mutual respect.
